EIC Recycles (pictures below)

How it works:  When we remove your old roof we take all the debris (tear-off) back to our recycling facility in Marion, IA where we have a massive grinding machine that we use to recycle the tear-off.  This machine employs a crew of 5 men full-time during our busy season as well as a full time mechanic all year round.  Our crew has an important job of sorting all the material into piles of wood debris, asphalt shingles, and metal (such as old gutters and drip edge).  Then the guys start to load piles of material into the grinder.  On the other side of the machine we have large trucks ready to be filled with the end product.  During the grinding process the large magnet within the machine sucks out remaining metal materials such as roofing nails.

When we grind:  The old shingles the end product is recycled asphalt, which is used to pave Iowa's roads.  The large sum of money invested by EIC in it's recycling operation is next to none.  We are a leader in the construction field and we are very proud of that fact.  All other roofers take their tear-off material to the dump!

What this means for you:  Fact: 85% of all material that ends up in the dump is from construction waste!  That is a huge amount of material that could be recycled.  EIC has been and will remain committed to making a difference in our community.  Our price, quality, and speed are top notch and when you consider choosing a roofer please think about where your old roof is going after it is torn off...will it go to the dump?...or will it go towards better our communities through EIC's "Roofs into Roads" project?  Please consider using EIC for your next roofing project!
